Tip 1. The man of your dreams is out there. Luckily for you, there is more than one man out there. If there not, nobody would ever get married because there would only be a one in six billion chance of finding him. The point is your prince charming is different from the image you might have of him from your early childhood dreams. His attributes such as his favorite television show, his hair style and his body type might be different from what you pictured.
Tip 2. Ladies, please don’t make the mistake of trying to change a man to fit your image of what you think you want. That won’t work as single men by this time already have their own identities. A great quote…”don’t try and change me into something I am not. I’ll just revert back to being little ole me in the long run.”
Tip 3. Who are single men looking for? There are three billion single women out there looking to date a man. Ladies, snap out of it pretending you’re the guy’s fantasy woman. Not every single man is going to be interested in you, no matter how beautiful, successful or smart you are. If you are interested in meeting a nice guy and you find one, give him a chance.
Tip 4. Most guys are open minded. Maybe when they were younger, their image of a woman was the Sports Illustrated swim suit model type. But at age 30 and still single, they know its not happening. In fact, 10 years ago, they knew that. Single men over 30 build a lot of wiggle room into their selection.
Tip 5. Here is a good example of what I mean by “room for wiggle.”
His criteria are someone who is athletic. You think it means a marathon runner. It really means someone who belongs to a gym.
His criteria are someone who is intelligent. You think he means a Yale graduate. It really means a well known college he's heard of.
He tells you he wants someone worldly. You think it means you have to own a private jet. No, just don’t count having been to the Venetian in Las Vegas as having been to Italy.
Get the picture?
Tip 6. Ladies, leave your old impressions behind and begin with a new clean slate. Whip out the old and bring in the new.
Your homework assignment is to write down 3 things a guy would be interested in you for, and develop them. Create a story around them. As an example, if you belong to a gym and go every day, that’s something a guy would be interested in as you can say you are athletic, in shape, fit and take care of your body. You feel good and as a result, look good.
